Report claims Turkish side Trabzonspor are keen on Derby County striker Darren Bent

The Turkish outfit have been linked with the former England international in the past.

Derby County have been attracting plenty of interest in recent weeks for bringing in players with an abundance of big signings at the iPro Stadium in their bid to earn Premier League status.

Of course such spending will eventually need to be balanced out and it seems that one player whpo might leave the club is high-earner Darren Bent.

Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Trabzonspor are ready to revisit their interest in the player. The Turkish side were said to be keen in the summer of 2014 by The Sun but no deal ever transpired.

However, according to Sporx in Turkey, that interest remains strong today and the Turkish outfit are keen on bringing him in.

The Turkish side are said to have failed in the pursuit of other striking options and could now look at the former England international as a potential option.

Derby would surely be tempted to sell at a good price. Bent is not a regular starter and has mustered just the one goal in his 15 Championship appearances so far this season.

If they could move the 31-year-old on it would free up plenty of wages to look at potentially bringing in a younger replacement.
