Newcastle United have this evening confirmed on their official website that they have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend.
The Magpies have splashed the cash already this month, bringing in midfielders Henri Saivet and Jonjo Shelvey from Bordeaux and Swansea City respectively.
Now though, manager Steve McClaren has swooped to add some pace to his side, bringing in winger Andros Townsend from Spurs.
The 24-year-old England international has fallen well down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino this season, and has played just 64 minutes of Premier League action this term.
With no appearances in any competition since the 22nd of October, Townsend has been playing for the Spurs Under-21's, working on his fitness before an anticipated departure.
Now, Townsend has left White Hart Lane for a free believed to be £12m according to BBC Sport, and will be hoping to resurrect his career on Tyneside.
After the deal was confirmed, Newcastle fans took to Twitter to state that they're excited by the move, and believe he will add the injection of pace that McClaren's side needs out wide.
Spurs fans also gave their reactions on Twitter, with many wishing Townsend well having had such a long affiliation with the club - but also praised chairman Daniel Levy for getting that £12m for a player who has been on the fringes of the side all season long.
Here are the reactions from Newcastle and Tottenham fans after Townsend's transfer earlier today...

There's times when Levy is rightfully criticised & there's times when he should be praised but isn't. £12M for Townsend, take a bow. #THFC— Ricky Sacks (@RickSpur) January 27, 2016
