Middlesbrough fans react on Twitter to Mustapha Carayol netting for Leeds

Middlesbrough loanee Mustapha Carayol is making an impact for Leeds United.

Loanee Mustapha Carayol rescued a point for Leeds United after coming off the bench against Brentford last night.

The winger was a 79th minute substitute and scored just five minutes later to earn a 1-1 draw for the visitors.

Carayol had been dropped to the bench after a poor display against Bristol City at the weekend, but he posed a real threat last night after coming on.

The 27-year-old Gambian now has two goals in four games for Leeds since making his loan move from Middlesbrough, this being his first league strike for the club, earlier netting against Rotherham in the FA Cup on his debut.

On loan at Huddersfield earlier in the season netted three times in 15 games.

Middlesbrough meanwhile are struggling for goals, losing 1-0 to both Nottingham Forest and Bristol City in recent games.

From the date they loaned Carayol to Leeds, he has matched their entire side's goalscoring record, for they have also scored just two goals in four games.
