Jordan Pickford has expressed his delight on Twitter after extending his contract at Sunderland.
The youngster has penned a new deal which will keep him at the Stadium of Light until 2020.
Pickford is very highly regarded by Sunderland, and the club have wasted no time offering a new deal, after he showed great promise in his first few senior appearances.
The England youth international was recalled from a loan spell at Preston North End earlier in the season, and he has now made two first team starts for the Black Cats.
Pickford’s good form has enabled Sam Allardyce to sell Costel Pantilimon to Watford and his new contract shows how high the North East club’s hopes are for the 21-year-old in the future.
Pickford follows in Duncan Watmore’s footsteps by penning a new contract at Sunderland, with the attacker also committing his future to the club until 2020 earlier in the campaign.
