The Frenchman has been one of the signings of the season so far.
The Frenchman was signed from Marseille by manager Slaven Bilic in the summer, with the Hammers paying £10million to secure his services.
That price has proved to be a bargain, with Payet putting in a series of impressive displays to push his side up the table in the first half of the campaign.
He has been missing since the end of November with an injury, and has since returned in recent weeks with several more impressive performances for the side.
Valencia in particular is one who has favoured from Payet’s displays, and he says it is wonderful to have him as a teammate.
“It is fantastic playing in the team as players like Dimitri Payet; because of course he is a wonderful teammate to have.”
“You know he can play you in with one pass and it’s my job to make the most of that.”
The Hammers will now be hoping that Payet can continue this kind of form and push the side towards a place in Europe at the end of the campaign.
They are currently sixth in the table with 36 points to their name, just six points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place, meaning they are very much in the race for Champions League football.
Payet has been vital to that impressive position so far, and after being missing over Christmas, they will hope he is fully fit and firing for the rest of the campaign to help them aim as high as possible.
