Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore spoke highly of Norwich City attacker Steven Naismith on the Call Collymore show on talkSPORT on Saturday evening (January 23).
“He chases down in positions and he is very infectious for players around you,” said Collymore about Naismith. “If you see a player doing what he does, then it makes you stand up.”
Naismith recently joined Norwich from Premier League rivals Everton on a contract that runs until June 2019.
The Scotland international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, will be looking to help the Canaries retain their top-flight status for next season.
Norwich, who got promoted from the Championship at the end of last season, are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from as many matches.
Alex Neil’s side are just two points above third-from-bottom Newcastle United and need to put together a run of positive results soon.
Naismith made his debut for Norwich against Liverpool at Carrow Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. The former Rangers attacker scored one goal, had a pass accuracy of 73%, and won one header.
