Crystal Palace are considering making a move for Bafetimbi Gomis.
Crystal Palace have revived their interest in Bafetimbi Gomis, the Daily Mail reports.
Palace have just added Emmanuel Adebayor to their ranks, signing him on a free transfer, but Alan Pardew still wants to recruit a new striker.
Strikers scoring goals has been a real issue for the Eagles this term, and Pardew wants a player who can consistently put the ball in the back of the net.
Adebayor could be that man, but despite signing him, Palace have revived an existing interest in Swansea striker Gomis, and will consider making a swoop for him as the transfer window draws to a close.
The Sun claimed earlier this month that Gomis was a potential target for the South London club, and he has come back into Pardew’s thinking, along with Fenerbahce forward Emmanuel Emenike.
However, Swansea are against selling Gomis if they fail to sign another striker before the end of the month, although they could sanction his departure if Francesco Guidolin brings in a new forward.
Gomis, who has been capped 12 times by France, has scored 12 goals in 52 Premier League games for Swansea. He has managed six in 23 games this season, and has been relegated to a back-up squad role in recent weeks.
