Celtic-owned Liam Henderson raves about Hibernian teammate Jason Cummings

Hibernian forward Jason Cummings has been linked with Derby County, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday among other clubs.

Celtic-owned midfielder Liam Henderson has told The Scottish Sun that Hibernian forward Jason Cummings is destined for the top.

Henderson joined Hibernian on a season-long loan deal from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the summer of 2015.

The 19-year-old Scotland Under-21 international midfielder has been impressed with his Hibernian teammate Cummings.

The 20-year-old is regarded by many as one of the best and most promising young forwards in the Scottish Championship.

Henderson believes that his Scotland Under-21 international teammate is destined for the top.

The teenager has also claimed that playing with striker Anthony Stokes, who recently joined Hibs on loan from Celtic until the end of the season, is only going to make Cummings a better player.

“I think Jason Cummings is an excellent player and he is destined for the top, but I reckon playing alongside Stokesy can make him even better and help bring him on leaps and bounds,” Henderson told The Scottish Sun.

Henderson’s comments will be encouraging for some of the clubs in England who are reportedly interested in signing Cummings from Hibernian.

The Daily Mail claimed last month that Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United are interested in the young Scotsman.

Earlier this month, Sky Sports claimed of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in Cummings (click here to read more), while The Sun recently linked the youngster with Derby County.
