The England international is set to join Newcastle United tomorrow.

Newcastle United are set to complete the signing of Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend this week after finally agreeing a fee with the London club for the England international's signature.

Townsend will cost Newcastle a fee in the region of £12 million, according to the BBC, after falling out of favour at White Hart Lane in recent months. It came after a public disagreement with the Tottenham fitness coach and he has been playing with the under-21s more often than not ever since.

Now Sky Sports is reporting that he will undergo his medical tomorrow before finalising a move.

The England winger is of course going to be sad to say goodbye to Spurs, as he signalled in this tweet this afternoon:

It looks like this pic signifies the final time that Townsend will be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur training complex - with the Newcastle switch set to be ratified tomorrow.

Townsend joined Spurs in the year 2000 at the age of nine. He went on to spend nearly 16 years with the club which encompassed an England debut and nine different spells away from the club out on loan.
