Wolves suffer two injury blows with Dave Edwards and Michal Zyro set for lengthy spells on the sidelines

Kenny Jackett's men have already lost Jordan Graham to a much more long-term injury.

The head of Wolves' medical department has confirmed to the club's official website that both Dave Edwards and Michal Zyro are set for spells on the sidelines due to injuries.

Zyro has been in sensational form since joining the Championship side earlier in the month. His three goals in two games helped the club get over the loss of Benik Afobe, who departed Molineux for Bournemouth during this window.

However, Phil Hayward has confirmed that the calf injury that the Poland international picked up last week is set to keep him out for around six to eight weeks.

"Michal has sustained an injury to his calf which is complicated in that it is not just the muscle affected but the tendon structure between the muscles as well," he told the official website.

"We expect the rehabilitation process to be between six and eight weeks but will also be re-scanning the injury on a regular basis and will be led by the scan results as well as how he is symptom-wise."

The situation regarding Edwards is worse, however. The 29-year-old broke his fifth metatarsal during the draw with Queens Park Rangers at the weekend (via official website), and Hayward confirmed that he is set to be out for a considerably longer spell than Zyro.

"It is an injury which will need surgery to be repaired which he will have done early this week," he added.

"Following that the normal rehabilitation time is around 12 weeks so we expect Dave to be out of action until around the middle to end of April."

With exciting winger Jordan Graham recently being ruled out for nine to 12 months (via official website), Kenny Jackett will be desperate to ensure that no more of his first-team players pick up injuries, especially with the side needing to put together an almost flawless run if they wish to make the play-offs.
