Steve Evans says whether Leeds United will sell a midfielder after Toumani Diagouraga's arrival

Leeds United now have a wealth of options in their squad in central midfield.

Steve Evans has told BBC Radio Leeds that both Tommaso Bianchi and Casper Sloth could be set to leave Leeds United.

Following the addition of Toumani Diagouraga from Brentford, the Whites have a midfield which is packed with options.

And Evans is now looking to trim his squad, with the 53-year-old suggesting that both Bianchi and Sloth could be set to move on.

"We have never hid the fact that Bianchi has interest in Italy, and Casper has interest," Evans said.

"If the deal is right for those lads, we’ll send them on their way and shake their hands. We’re quite willing to let certain players go, but none of the main group, of course."

Leeds also have Tom Adeyemi on loan from Cardiff City, but Evans said that his temporary move would not be terminated early - as there is no option to do that in his current deal.

Evans’ comments also seem to serve as another denial that outstanding midfielder Lewis Cook could be set to move away.

Cook has been of interested to Bournemouth throughout the transfer window so far, according to the Daily Mail, but Leeds do not appear to be interested in cashing in on him any time soon.

Cook is said by the Daily Star to be happy at Leeds, and he looks set to stay until the summer at the very least, which is a huge boost for the Elland Road faithful.
