The Gunners were beaten 1-0 by their fierce rivals on Sunday afternoon, after an early red card for Per Mertesacker saw them play the majority of the game with ten men.
The loss continued a poor run of form for Arsene Wenger’s side, with them now having gone three games without a win in the Premier League.
However Bellerin insists they cannot focus on the form table and must instead just lift their heads up and move on to the next game.
“We need to keep our heads up and move onto the next game,” he told arsenal.com.
“We can’t just be thinking about the result today. We need to focus on the next game and it does not matter about the trend, we are not thinking about that.
“We are just thinking about winning and getting ahead. We take it game by game and when it comes to May we will see where we are.”
Despite Bellerin insisting that Arsenal are not focusing on the form table, they will know they cannot afford to keep dropping points for too long.
This season’s title race is looking to be one of the closest yet, with as many as four teams all currently in the race, and an extended run of poor form could see the Gunners fall away quickly.
That is something they are obviously keen to avoid as this campaign is their best shot at the title in a number of years, and returning to form as soon as possible will be vital to maintain that push in the second half of the campaign.
