Rio Ferdinand comments on Everton and West Ham fans

Rio Ferdinand is grateful to West Ham United for having patience with him.

Former Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers defender Rio Ferdinand has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Everton fans should be more patient with their young players.

Ferdinand made the comments during the Premier League game between Everton and Swansea City at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

During the match, young centre-back John Stones tried some fancy footwork which did not come off, leaving the home fans unhappy.

Former West Ham United and Manchester United central defender Ferdinand has suggested on Twitter that the Everton supporters should be more patient with their young players.

The former England international has also thanked West Ham for having patience with him and allowing him to make mistakes when he was young.

Stones, an England international central defender, started the match against Swansea and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Toffees suffered a 2-1 defeat.

The 21-year-old, who can also play as a right-back, did not have a good game and took too long on the ball in the first half.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Stones took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 92%, created one chance, and made one interception, one clearance and one block.
