Report: Roman Zozulya talks up 'dream' move to Aston Villa

Villa Park

Aston Villa are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window.

Dnipro striker Roman Zozulya is quoted by the Daily Mail suggesting that he would be interested in signing for Aston Villa.

So far Remi Garde’s side’s search for players in January has proven fruitless, with the Claret and Blues yet to make an additon.

However, Zozulya insists that he is not put off by Villa’s current position in the Premier League table, and he would be keen to move to the Midlands club.

'Honestly, it's my dream - to play in England. I really want to serve there in the Premier League,” he is quoted as saying, when asked about the possibility of a Villa move.

Villa are currently propping up the Premier League table, and they are 10 points adrift of safety - with their chances of survival looking bleak.

Garde is understood to be determined to increase the quality of his squad in the coming weeks, but their attempts to bring in new faces have so far been unsuccessful.

Zozulya seems to have a willingness to move to Villa Park, however, and Villa are said to be interested in signing the Ukranian.

Zozulya has scored just once in five matches for Dnipro so far this season, but he is highly regarded in his homeland - and has 22 senior international caps.
