According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Hull City are winning the race to sign Patrick Bamford from Chelsea.
The Daily Mirror has suggested that the likes of Swansea City, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers are all hopeful of completing a deal for the young foward.
However, it is the Tigers who are believed to be closest to securing his signature, and a move to the KC Stadium could go through in the new few days.
Bamford has already been out on loan this season, to Crystal Palace, but he failed to make much of an impression at Selhurst Park.
The 22-year-old has not forced his way into Guus Hiddink’s side since moving back to Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea feel that another temporary move would be best for his development.
Bamford has scored prolifically at Championship level previously, and Hull believe his addition would help their promotion push.
Steve Bruce’s side are currently sitting on top of the Championship table, and they have are six points clear of third placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
