Gedion Zelalem was substituted early in Rangers' win over Greenock Morton.
Rangers extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship with a 2-0 away win over Greenock Morton.
Kenny Miller and Barrie McKay scored the goals, one in each half, with Rangers having a total of 20 attempts on goal.
Their victory came despite a red card being handed to Andy Halliday for two bookings, but a that stage Rangers already had a lead.
Young midfielder Gedion Zelalem was handed a start, but did not complete an hour before being substituted for new signing Harry Forrester.
The Arsenal loanee did not do enough to state a strong case to retain his place in the starting XI, struggling to make any sort of impact offensively.
The central midfielder also looked lightweight in possession, a trend which has dogged the 18-year-old since his arrival at Ibrox.
Zelalem is getting his first taste of competitive football in the Scottish Championship this season, and will aim to learn from it when he returns to Arsenal in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether the improvement he needs to make is as simple as just bulking up, or if his overall game is of the standard required to break through at the English Premier League title challengers.
Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted to his display...
One thing Zelalem should stay at home on Saturday. Barrie Mckay on the other hand
