Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Manchester United should give Ryan Giggs the managerial job.
Louis van Gaal is the current manager of United and has a contract until June 2017.
Van Gaal will go down in history as one of the best football managers of all time, but the Dutchman is not popular among the United fans at the moment.
The Red Devils’ football has been far from entertaining this season, and results have not been great either.
Former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar has suggested on Twitter that United should get rid of the Dutchman and make Giggs, now his assistant, as the manager.
Man U should give job to Giggs let him take over and prove himself .Rather than expect him to be a last resort at the start of next season— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) January 23, 2016
United are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 37 points from 23 matches. The Red Devils are five points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth and occupy the final Champions League spot.
Van Gaal’s side, who lost 1-0 to Southampton at Old Trafford in the league at the weekend, will take on Derby County away from home at the iPro Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday evening.
