According to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, Leicester have made a bid to sign Sampdoria forward Eder - but the Italian club are still thinking about whether to accept or reject it.
The Foxes have snapped up a couple of players so far during this month's transfer window, with winger Demarai Gray arriving from Birmingham City, before Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey left Danish side Copenhagen for the King Power Stadium.
Even though they currently sit top of the Premier League table, Leicester may still look for new additions - and another striker may be wanted.
Manager Claudio Ranieri does have Jamie Vardy, Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki at his disposal, but after allowing Andrej Kramaric to join Hoffenheim on loan, Ranieri may pursue one more attacking option to boost his firepower for the title run-in.
Now, Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Leicester have submitted a bid of £8m for Sampdoria forward Eder - but the Serie A side are looking for £10m, meaning they are currently considering Leicester's bid.
The 29-year-old Italian international has racked up 12 goals in 19 games this season, and is expected to be a key player for Antonio Conte's Italy at Euro 2016 this summer.
It's suggested that Eder is keen to make the move to the Premier League and would want to join Leicester, where he would work with Italian boss Ranieri - but the Foxes are currently left waiting to see what Sampdoria's response is.
