The striker is reported to have confirmed a move by the Turkish media.
West Ham United have been linked with plenty of strikers this month as the club battle with continued injury problems.
Andy Carroll is injured again whilst Diafra Sakho has also had his troubles. Enner Valencia is currently fit but has been in an out of the team this season with ankle problems.
Many names have cropped up - including old favourites such as Emmanuel Emenike, Moussa Sow and Asamoah Gyan.
However the most recent name to crop up is Burak Yilmaz - who was linked with the club in the summer.
The Turkish international is well known to Slaven Bilic - who managed at Yilmaz's current club Galatasaray's rivals Besiktas - and would be a good buy if a deal did come together.
Bilic stated yesterday that West Ham were not currently in talks regarding a deal but a report in Turkey suggests it is on the verge of completion.
F5 Haber run a quote from Burak, in which he states:
"West Ham transfer to occur within two or three days."
The same report states that Yilmaz did not take part in Gala's training session this morning as he prepares for the move.
Those comments would certainly contradict those of Bilic and come as a surprise to many a West Ham and Galatasaray fan.
Yilmaz, who scored in Gala's defeat to Osmanlispor yesterday, has scored nine goalsin 15 league appearances for Galatasaray this season.
