The Toffees icon wasn't the only one left unimpressed against the Swans.
Whatever fairytale picture Roberto Martinez paints, the reality of the Merseyside outfit's situation is now one win in 10, with Everton 12th in the Premier League - just eight points off the relegation zone.
And it's their defending that's the biggest problem.
As Swansea beat them 2-1 at Goodison Park, that was all too clear to see. John Stones was too worried about trying to take his man on... near his own box than actually defend, while Tim Howard had another nightmare, too.
Cahill thought Everton simply made things too easy for the Swans:
Meanwhile, the Australian also emphasised how Everton used to approach games - defending for their lives once they built up a lead on Merseyside.
Will Martinez ever adopt a proper approach to football? Will he acknowledge there is a defence as well as an attack and that centre-backs don't have to pretend to be Ronaldinho in their own half?
If not, expect a lot more frustration at Goodison Park in the coming months...
