The Swansea forward won a penalty and scored the winner against Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Indeed, the 26-year-old won a penalty and scored Swansea's second as Everton's poor run was extended to only one win in 10 games.
Sunderland supporters would very much like the forward on board at the Stadium of Light to help with their battle against relegation. Right now, it looks like they need Ayew more than Swansea do.
Newcastle fans, however, had other things to say. They were more interested in the fact their chief scout watched Marseille last season and, instead of signing Ayew or Dimitri Payet, brought Florian Thauvin to the Magpies...
Some of the Newcastle faithful also wouldn't mind righting that wrong this January and signing the Swansea forward - thereby gazumping Sunderland. For now, though, it's Swansea supporters who are enjoying his match-winning performances, while Evertan fans rue this particular one...
Andre Ayew wins Swansea the game, wish we had him #SAFC— Mitchell (@MitchMiller1999) January 24, 2016
Swansea deserve there lead. Everton poor, no intensity to there game. Ayew impressive too #safc— Peter Whalen (@PeteWhalen) January 24, 2016
I suspect even if Swansea accept a bid from us for Ayew, he would refuse the move #safc— Deggsy™ (@Deggsytweets) January 24, 2016
#NUFC we're interested in Austin, Ayew and Alli last year/season... We got Mitrovic, Thauvin and Colback instead. Carr at his finest— Adam (@AdamLittle_NUFC) January 24, 2016
How did Graham Carr watch Ayew, Payet and Thauvin and then think Ayew for free? Naa! Payet for £10.5m? Naa! Thauvin for £14m? Aye! #NUFC— ANDY LOCKHART (@andylockhart88) January 24, 2016
