The Cherries took the lead in the 13th minute when Benik Afobe found the target with a diving header, but Patrick van Aanholt restored parity for the hosts on the stroke of half time.

Visitors Bournemouth had 58% of the possession, took 15 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.
Sunderland are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 23 matches.
