Everton failed to return to winning ways in the Premier League, as they went down 2-1 to Swansea at Goodison Park.
Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Swans in the lead from the penalty spot in the 17th minute, but Jack Cork scored an own goal on 26 minutes to make it 1-1.
Andre Ayew made it 2-1 to the Welsh outfit in the 34th minute, and neither side could add to the scoreline in the second half.
Former Everton defender Ball was following the match, and he was far from impressed with the performance of the defenders.
Embarrassing! I would feel ashamed to be a defender this season at EFC. Do yer job stop conceding GOALS! The way we play isn't working— Michael Ball (@bally03) January 24, 2016
Defenders should take pride in a clean sheet the way strikers do scoring or midfielders assisting! Big man Goughy always stated it b4 games— Michael Ball (@bally03) January 24, 2016
EFC same problems as last season. Conceded most goals from losing possession in own half last season. Over playing in wrong areas.— Danny Higginbotham (@Higginbotham05) January 24, 2016
