The 33-year-old centre-back has recently been linked with a January move to the MLS club.
Sky Sports recently claimed that the Galaxy had made a bid for the 33-year-old centre-back in their efforts to replace departed stopper Omar Gonzalez, who was sold to Mexican side Pachuca last month after helping the club win three MLS Cup titles over the past five seasons.
However, Klein has now poured cold water on the prospect of him arriving in LA in the near future, telling MLSSoccer.com that a deal for the former England international is “not happening”.

A boyhood Villa fan, Lescott joined the claret and blues in a deadline day deal from Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion and has since made 16 total appearances for the club, scoring two goals in the process.
The veteran defender, who cost a reported £1 million with potential to rise to £2 million with add-ons, endured a difficult start to life at B6 and was dropped from the line-upon Remi Garde’s appointment as manager in November.
However, his form has significantly improved since breaking back into the side in early December, having struck up a superb rapport with centre-back partner Jores Okore.
Villa have conceded just six goals in the seven games the pair have started together, while Lescott has also captained the side in the absence of regular skipper Micah Richards and earned Garde’s praise for his improved performances.
Speaking after the 1-0 home victory over Crystal Palace last week, in which Lescott scored the only goal of the game to end his side’s 19-game winless run in the Premier League, Garde told the club’s official website: “Joleon is a very experienced player. He spreads around him serenity and calm. He knows the game well.
“For me, he is a player I can rely on tactically. He is not as young as he used to be. I try to manage him - and some others - as best as I can.”
