Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Flamini's performance against Chelsea

Arsenal Emirates 3

Arsenal missed the chance to go back to the top of the table as they lost to Chelsea on Sunday.

Arsenal lost 1-0 to Chelsea this weekend with Spanish international Diego Costa scoring the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute.

Things were already looking bad for the Gunners when centre-back Per Mertesacker was sent off less than 18 minutes into the encounter and Costa quickly made the hosts pay.

That goal was enough to give Chelsea all three points and maintain the Blues' impressive recent record against Arsenal, and while many of the Gunners’ players under-performed their midfield was simply not good enough on the day.

Aaron Ramsey and Matthieu Flamini could not do enough against the reigning Premier League champions and it was interesting to note that January signing Mohamed Elneny had to sit and watch this match from the bench.

Surely the Egyptian international will soon be starting matches like this, with Flamini no longer the answer in the absence of the injured Francis Coquelin.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought of Flamini’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
