Tottenham Hotspur remain many people's dark horses to pick up the Premier League title this season. The club have looked excellent at times this season and with the likes of Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli in top form there is no reason why they can't mount a serious title challenge.
One man who has been tipping such glory in recent weeks is a reluctant Paul Merson. The current Sky Sports pundit and former Arsenal hero is a big fan of Spurs and believes they are in with a shout.
But in his prediction column this week ahead of the game he suggested that their recent 1-0 home defeat to Leicester City will come back to haunt them at the end of the campaign.
"I'm starting to worry myself with the amount of times I'm backing Spurs but they are a very good team, all the way through the spine of the team is top drawer.
"Victory at Palace will keep their slim title hopes alive but, come the end of the season, I feel they will be kicking themselves for losing to Leicester last week."
That result really was a hammer blow for Spurs at it appeared to stunt their momentum.
However a 4-1 win against Sunderland last time out in the league and retribution over Leicester in the FA Cup has the mood elevated at Tottenham once again.
If results go their way and they beat Palace this weekend they could move to just two points behind the league leaders.
They are certainly not out of the race just yet.
