The 26-year-old Italian had another moment of controversy but produced a good display for Leeds on Saturday.
While Leeds United fans would have generally been disappointed with their side's performance against Bristol City on Saturday afternoon - and the fact they were watching Sam Byram make his Premier League debut in a West Ham shirt - there were some positives at Elland Road.
A big one was the performance of Giuseppe Bellusci, even if the defender endured another moment of controversy.
Indeed, Bellusci was given plenty of stick from fans at half-time and duly responded with a few yells of his own.
The Italian has also had plenty of ups and downs when it comes to the Leeds fans already. He was part of the infamous 'injured six' and had a real 'mare at Middlesbrough back when Uwe Rosler was still in Yorkshire.
But the 26-year-old - in purely footballing terms - produced a solid display on Saturday. As Leeds beat Bristol City 1-0, Bellusci was praised by several United fans. And many even chose him as their man of the match.
Here's how supporters reacted on Twitter to his display...
Three points, a clean sheet, a Doukara goal & Bellusci challenging him for MOTM. Imagine all those "fans" hoping we'd lose! #LUFC— Cockney White (@cockney_white) January 23, 2016
Bellusci very good for me. Dallas also had a decent game #lufc— Dan Toronczak (@dantoronczak) January 23, 2016
And people say we should sell bellusci. Okay mate. #lufc— Sam Patton (@sampatton89) January 23, 2016
Great passion from Bellusci at the final whistle despite getting bird at half time. #lufc— Sparkymarky64 (@Markford64LUFC) January 23, 2016
Not pretty but a wins a win. I'm one of his biggest critics but Bellusci was solid Great seeing Wood back as well #LUFC— Nathan Mills (@NTMILLS) January 23, 2016
Bellusci man of match there all day long, sick of waiting 50 minutes for us to start playing football though #lufc— adam (@y12ajg) January 23, 2016
