West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the departure of Mauro Zarate.

Zarate has left West Ham and joined Italian club Fiorentina on a permanent contract.

The Argentine forward joined the Hammers in the summer of 2014 and was expected to be a massive success at the Boleyn Ground.

The former Lazio star struggled for playing time last season and was sent out on loan to Queens Park Rangers in January 2015.

Zarate scored three goals and created 20 chances in 15 Premier League games for West Ham this season.

Slaven Bilic’s side are sixth in the league table at the moment with 35 points from 22 matches, just four points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina are currently fourth in the Serie A table with 38 points from 20 matches, six points behind leaders Napoli.
