Was the utility player aiming his frustrations at Neil Redfearn?
Rotherham United boss Neil Redfearn is clearly not a fan of Greg Halford. The former Leeds boss has not used the utility player since his arrival at the club and allowed him out on loan to Birmingham City in November.
“Greg is not in our plans. He needs to go and look somewhere else if he is to prolong his career. He needs to go and find another club."
Halford arrived at Rotherham as a new club captain under Steve Evans but has struggled to settle in with his new club.
Now he has sent out a tweet this morning that appears to suggest he is unhappy at the New York Stadium:
Of course there is absolutely no knowing if this is aimed at Redfearn or anyone at Rotherham Football Club at all, that is mere speculation. Although the fans responding certainly seem to think so - especially the Colchester United fans asking him to head back to their club.
But amid the transfer talk a connection is certainly there to be made.
Regardless of the tweet Halford deserves a move from Rotherham. He is an experienced pro who can offer a lot to many Football League clubs due to his versatility and know-how.
Hopefully he can find a new home soon.
