Fulham captain Ross McCormack has told the club that he wants to join Middlesbrough and does not want to play for them again, HITC Sport understands.
Middlesbrough had an opening offer turned down for McCormack last week and talks have been ongoing since, but Boro are yet to come back with a firm second bid.
However, McCormack has already made his mind up - he wants to help fire Boro into the top flight and achieve his own ambition of playing in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old scored in their draw with Huddersfield Town last week, but he has now informed them that he will not be available to play against Hull City this Saturday.
Boro have made McCormack their number one target and are set to come back with an offer in excess of £10 million for the former Leeds United man over the weekend, and HITC Sport understands that Boro will pay 'whatever' it takes to land him.
McCormack has scored 15 goals and created 44 chances in 26 Championship appearances for Fulham this season.
