Wolves have expressed an interest in signing Mamadou Samassa, the Guardian reports.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper is currently contracted to EA Guingamp of France, although he is only a back-up choice for the club.
A Malian international, Samassa has played just one game this season. He played the full 90 minutes of a 1-0 loss to Lyon on the second matchday of the campaign, and has since been out of the team.
Samassa has not even been included in a matchday squad since the beginning of November.
Regardless, Samassa is fairly experienced for his age, with 88 appearances across the two top divisions of French football.
Wolves have been tracking the stopper this season, and with Kenny Jackett keen to bring in a new keeper, he is preparing a move for Samassa ahead of the summer.
Jackett is not looking to bring the 25-year-old in this month, but will push ahead with the signing of the keeper in the summer transfer window to have him signed ahead of next season.
