According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Swansea City forward Andre Ayew would be keen on a switch to Sunderland.
The Black Cats are understood to have made Ayew their top attacking target, as Sam Allardyce plans to make additions over the coming weeks.
The Ghanian forward has scored seven times in the Premier League since moving to Swansea last summer, and his performances have caught the eye of Sunderland.
The Wearsiders have already lodged a number of bids for the forward, but so far Swansea have rebuffed all their attempts to sign Ayew.
The Welsh side are understood to be keen to keep hold of the 26-year-old, but if Sunderland’s offers continue to increase they may be forced to cash in.
If Ayew was to leave the Liberty Stadium to switch to the North East, he would rather be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Swansea are currently stationed just one place above the drop zone, while Sunderland are down in 19th place.
