Norwich are interested in signing Patrick Bamford on a permanent deal, the Mirror reports.
The 22-year-old forward is back at Stamford Bridge after the cancellation of his disastrous Crystal Palace loan spell, when he was frustrated by his lack of action; Bamford played just nine games in all competitions.
However, his chances at Chelsea are limited, and he has been linked with a loan move away. The report indicates that Bamford himself wants a loan move, but Norwich are lining up a permanent move for the striker.
Bamford has impressed on loan in the Championship, and it is believed he has the talent to go all the way in the Premier League.
The Canaries want to get him tied up on a full-time contract, although Chelsea will only sanction Bamford’s departure if a buy-back clause is placed in the youngster’s contract.
Gazette Live report that Chelsea value Bamford at roughly £10 million, although there is no indication as to whether Norwich are willing to match that valuation.
