According to a report in the Bristol Post, Bristol City are chasing a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Scott Golbourne.
Golbourne was expected to play a key part in Wolves’ first team this season, but he has lost his place more recently.
After Wolves struggled to keep goals out over the early part of the season, Kenny Jackett reshuffled his defence with Golbourne losing out.
Matt Doherty has taken his place on the left hand side of the defence, and Wolves also appear to be looking to sign a new left back in January.
The Midlands side are on the verge of completing a deal for Ajax defender Nicolai Boilesen, according to a report in the Express and Star.
Bristol City believe that Golbourne may be available for transfer, and they plan to make an offer in the near future.
The Robins are fighting against the drop in the Championship this season, and they are keen to strengthen their squad in the coming weeks.
