QPR are in the market for a new goalkeeper during this month's transfer window as doubts surround the long-term future of Rob Green and they have identified Ingram as his replacement.
QPR are willing to sell Green in a bid to get him off the wage bill with the former England goalkeeper entitled to a new deal should he play 30 games this season.
Green, who has made 25 appearances so far this season, has not played since the New Year's Day defeat to Hull and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has used Joe Lumley and Alex Smithies for the last three games with Green apparently frozen out.
A number of goalkeepers have been linked with a move to Loftus Road, but Ingram has emerged as QPR's top target.
Ingram has kept 11 clean sheets so far this season after an impressive 15 shutouts throughout the duration of last season.
The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in the country and QPR have moved quickly to try and sign him ahead of several Premier League and Championship sides.
