The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table alongside surprise contenders Leicester City, having enjoyed a strong first half of the campaign.
They have changed their style somewhat this season, with gritty performances such as the 0-0 draw with Stoke City last time around showing their title credentials.
That resolve has been absent over recent seasons, and is something that is likely to be uncomfortable to some of the Gunners’ stars.
Giroud though, has urged his teammates to play out of their comfort zone in order to secure the title at the end of the campaign.
“I just take the games step by step, game by game, like the team,” the France striker told Arsenal Player.
“The race is very tight because Leicester City and Manchester City will be fighting as well. We have a bit of an advantage over Manchester United and Tottenham at the moment but they could come back.”
“Every week you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone to give your maximum so that you can win every possible game.”
If Arsenal are to give themselves every possible chance of winning the majority of their 16 remaining games, they will need to continue their current fine defensive record.
The Gunners have conceded just 21 goals in their 22 games so far, the joint third best tally in the Premier League alongside Manchester City.
That has come down to them showing the sort of defensive steel that was on show against Stoke, and they will be hoping to carry that forward into the rest of the campaign.
