Some Nottingham Forest supporters have been left disappointed after thatthe club allowed Chris Burke to leave on loan to Rotherham United.
Dougie Freedman decided that Burke was unlikely to break back into Forest’s squad this season, and allowed the winger to join Rotherham temporarily.
Burke certainly adds that, and the 32-year-old will be eager to get started at the New York Stadium.
Burke has fallen out of favour with the Reds this season, and he has only made 10 appearances.
Forest fans are still disappointed to see the Scotland international go, though, as he remains a talent.
Burke is a skilfull dribbler, and although he is entering the twilight of his career he has the capabilities to cause defences problems.
Here is the best reaction from Forest fans on social media site Twitter to Burke’s depature.
Pleased Chris Burke is out on loan. Deserves games at this level, start playing Oli Burke regularly and another squad space. #nffc— Captain Pedantic (@Alex_Winstone) January 22, 2016
Hope Chris Burke does well at Rotherham. Unlucky not to play more for us, very decent player #nffc— dan (@DareToVeldwijk) January 22, 2016
disappointed we are letting Burke go but 2 positives are we look like getting two new players and Oliver Burke will be played more #nffc— Martin Day (@martinrday16) January 22, 2016
Good move for both #nffc and Chris Burke. He gets some 1st team football & we free up a valuable place in the 24 man squad. Good stuff DF.— richard andrew (@richandrew) January 22, 2016
Chris Burke always did ok for us so wish him well at Rotherham, or as they will soon be known Forest B. #nffc— Warren Allsworth (@warrenallsworth) January 22, 2016
