Kemar Roofe has messaged his former West Bromwich Albion teammate Adil Nabi to wish him luck after the 21-year-old striker completed a move to Peterborough United yesterday.
Nabi has been signed by Posh, as they look to fill the void left by Conor Washington’s departure to Queens Park Rangers.
It is the youngster’s first permanent move away from Albion, and Roofe was keen to urge him to take his chance in professional football.
Congrats on your move big man @NabiAdil your time to show what your about!— Kemar Roofe (@roofe39) January 21, 2016
Roofe left West Brom to join Oxford United last summer, and he has gone on to make a name for himself in the lower leagues.
The attacking midfielder has been in fine form in League Two, and he is now regarded as one of the finest players outside the Premier League.
Nabi is yet to make a professional, senior appearance in England - yet there were high hopes for his future at the Hawthorns.
The skilful attacker was always regarded as one of the finest talents in the Baggies’ youth team, but Tony Pulis decided that he was expendable.
Nabi joins Posh, with Graham Westley’s side sitting in sixth place in the League One table.
