David Meyler has expressed his delight on Twitter, after signing a new contract at Hul City.
The central midfielder has penned a two-year extension to his current deal at the KC Stadium.
It was one of two reasons for Meyler to celebrate this morning, with the 26-year-old also being able to announce the birth of his daughter on social media.
Meyler has been at Hull since 2012, after arriving initially on a loan spell from Sunderland.
The Republic of Ireland international has become a key player for the Tigers, making 107 league appearances for the league so far, and his commitment to the future is a boost for Steve Bruce’s side, as they chase down promotion.
Hull are currently in second place in the Championship table, and they will be looking to consolidate their position in the automatic promotion spots over the coming weeks.
Hull are next in action against Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow.
