Former Villa striker Gray believes that the Baggies will pick up all three points from encounter courtesy of a narrow 1-0 win.
“Villa will arrive a lot more confident than two or three weeks ago,” the former Scotland international has written on Paddypower.com. “Four points, through in the FA Cup, and the mood of fans on the rise. The Baggies are very tough at home and they know it’s a local derby, so another narrow win for the home side.”
A footnote added: Andy’s bet: West Brom to win 1-0 5/1.”
West Brom are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 22 matches. The Baggies are just six points above the relegation zone and are in danger of dropping down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Villa look doomed for the drop, with Remi Garde’s side stuck to the foot of the standings with just 12 points from 22 games.
It promises to be an intriguing game of football, and should be a fascinating encounter. One should not expect too many goals, though, and it will probably be a tight match.
West Brom have won two of their last nine Premier League games, while the Villans have scored just eight goals in 11 league matches under Remi Garde.
