Perryman said: “Ossie tells me about Pochettino and about how much respect he’s got for him. And what a good man he is and a good worker. He [Pochettino] looks like he’s got them on the right lines and playing the right way.”
The duo, who were both part of the same Tottenham team in the 1980s, have spoken about Pochettino, with Ardiles a big fan of his compatriot.
The former star has often spoken his praise for Pochettino, and it is clear that Ardiles believes his fellow Argentine is taking Spurs along the correct path.
Pochettino has Tottenham playing an exciting brand of football that is bringing results, has made them assured defensively, and has done all this whilst promoting youth players with a focus upon homegrown talents.
Spurs have just secured progression into the fourth round of the FA Cup, are still in the Europa League, and, most impressively, are still fighting for the Premier League title.
It is hard to find anyone who is disappointed by the work Pochettino has done at Spurs since being appointed head coach last season, and the Argentine could be the first man to lead Tottenham to the Premier League title.
