Newcastle United have no intention of selling their key duo this month.
The Magpies have already strengthen this month, signing Jonjo Shelvey and Henri Saivet, and Mike Ashley does not want to stop there.
The report indicates that interest in Andros Townsend and Saido Berahino is truthful, and Ashley is pushing his football board to see through the deals. Whilst he personally does not mind who is signed - as long as they improve the team - Ashley does want to see the Magpies sign a striker before the end of the month.
Whilst many may believe that Ashley sanctioning these arrivals would mean he would sell other players to balance the books, Newcastle have no desire to lose any of their key assets.
They want to ensure their Premier League survival, and push for a finish in the upper reaches of the table, with Ashley keen to build the strongest squad possible.
The report claims that the Magpies have dismissed any talk of Sissoko or Perez leaving, as they are two players key to Steve McClaren’s squad.
It is stated that Sissoko has been targeted by Serie A table Napoli, whilst Perez is wanted by Premier League rivals Tottenham and Manchester United.
However, no exit is planned for the duo this month, and Newcastle fans should keep faith in the growing strength of their first-team squad.
