So Luciano Becchio's move to Rotherham United is now official - and he says he can't wait to play his first game for the Millers.
Indeed, the forward who became a bit of a cult icon at Leeds United is back in Yorkshire and back working alongside Neil Redfearn.
Just not at Leeds, despite the many, many calls from fans for his return.
Leeds supporters have always seemed a bit divided on Becchio. Some felt it was criminal not to bring the Argentine back to Elland Road. Some felt it would have been the epitome of incompetence to do just that.
Either way, it matters little now, with the 32-year-old a Rotherham player. He'll need to chip in with a goal or two if Redfearn's men are to stay in the Championship and fight off relegation this season.
Leeds fans haven't forgotten Becchio, however, and replied to his tweet after joining the Millers. Many are simply wishing him luck but a couple still want him to return to the Whites...
