Kristoffer Ajer to snub Premier League for Celtic

Celtic Stands

HITC Sport understands that the Norwegian wonder-kid wants to move to Glasgow

Norwegian youngster Kristoffer Ajer is ready to snub a number of Premier League offers to seal a move to Celtic, HITC Sport understands.

The 17-year-old Start midfielder is one of the most sought after players in Scandinavia, having become a first-team regular at just 16. He already has over 40 first-team appearances under his belt.

Celtic have been tracking him for some time now and they managed to bring him in on trial earlier this month, with a view to sealing a permanent move.

Ajer loved his time in Glasgow, enough so that he has rebuffed opportunities to join a number of Premier League clubs on a trial period.

HITC Sport can reveal that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Southampton have all made approaches to take Ajer on trial. However Ajer has told both his club and representatives that he is already convinced that Celtic is where he wants to go.

HITC Sport understands that Celtic are now in talks with Start and a deal could be concluded before the end of the transfer window.
