Bennett has moved to the Championship club from Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
Joe Bennett has insisted that he is willing to wait for his chance in the Sheffield Wednesday side with Daniel Pudil currently doing an excellent job at left-back for Carlos Carvalhal's men, the Sheffield Star reports.
The 25-year-old has moved to Hillsborough on loan until the end of the season (via Star), and while he admitted that he is determined to earn a place in the team, he is aware that he will have to prove himself before he gets his chance.
"I'm prepared to bide my time," he told the Star.
"Any club you go to you are going to be competing for places. It's going to be no different here. I am really looking forward to get going. I am really determined and motivated to get into the team."
With Wednesday currently situated in the play-off positions in the Championship, it is hardly a surprise that any new signings during this window will have to shift a player who has been performing strongly if they want to secure a place in the side.
Pudil - who, like Bennett, is on loan with the Owls, having joined from Watford in the summer - has proved a very reliable option for Carvalhal this term.
Only two players have started more games than the Czech Republic international, and he has justified his run in the side by scoring twice and bagging two assists, meaning that Bennett has got his work cut out if he wishes to take his spot in the team.
