Liverpool progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup after a 3-0 win over Exeter City.

Liverpool's much changed side made it through to round of the FA Cup after a 3-0 win over Exeter City in their third round replay at Anfield.

While Joe Allen may have got his second goal in a week, the focus was elsewhere as two players in Sheyi Ojo and Joao Carlos Teixeira got their first goals for the club. 

The night also saw Jon Flanagan make his long-awaited return from a knee injury as a second half substitute after over 600 days since his last first team game as he got a rousing reception from Anfield.

Unsurprisingly a lot of the reaction from the players on twitter was of joy of booking their place in the next round of the competition - where the Reds will face West Ham United at Anfield - and on welcoming back Flanagan into first team action. Flanagan himself reflected on a memorable night for him.
