Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike will meet with West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan in the next 24 hours according to the London Evening Standard - and he has fuelled speculation by posting a picture from the film Green Street on Instagram!

West Ham need a new striker this month, with injuries to both Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho leaving manager Slaven Bilic with few options in attack.

However, the Hammers could yet be closing in on a new signing, with reports heavily linking them with a move to sign Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike.

The 28-year-old, currently playing for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, is on loan from Fenerbahce, and has hit nine goals in 14 games this season - but could cut his deal short in order to join the Hammers.

The London Evening Standard report that Emenike is set to meet with Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan in the next 24 hours, with a deal to take him on loan until the end of the season in the pipeline.

It's stated that the deal would include a £7m permanent option, should Emenike impress, with manager Bilic no doubt familiar with the Fenerbahce man having managed against him as Besiktas boss.

Emenike has set tongues wagging today, having posted a picture from the film Green Street on Instagram - a film which focuses on West Ham United.

Fans have put two and two together and come up with the idea that Emenike is close to joining - and that may move even closer after his meeting with Sullivan.

Would Emenike be a good signing for West Ham?
