Celtic manager Ronny Deila has told the club's official Twitter account that midfielder Stefan Johansen is going nowhere, amid speculation linking him with a move to Aston Villa.
Johansen, 25, hit 13 goals as he fired the Bhoys to the title with his exploits from midfield, but this season has been much tougher for the Norway international.
The former Stromsgodset man has hit just four goals this season, and has looked out of form for large spells of the campaign, though a lingering back issue has been cited as one possible reason why Johansen has been unable to recapture last season's form.
Intriguingly though, reports earlier today from The Scottish Sun suggested that Premier League strugglers Aston Villa were lining up a move for Johansen.
It was stated that Villa, who sit ten points adrift of safety in the Premier League, were hoping to land Johansen for £5m, but Deila didn't want Celtic to sell the midfielder.
Now, Deila has spoken to the press today, and having been asked about Villa's interest in Johansen, he told the club's official Twitter account that the midfielder is staying at Celtic Park - a vital boost for Celtic having seen defender Virgil van Dijk leave the club for Premier League side Southampton in September.

Should Celtic keep or sell Johansen?
