The former West Ham striker believes that he is set to form a good partnership with Griffiths.
Carlton Cole has claimed that Celtic teammate Leigh Griffiths reminds him of two of the Premier League's most well-known forwards, and believes that the pair will soon strike up a lethal partnership, the Evening Times reports.
The 32-year-old has only been working alongside the Scotland international in the last couple of months, having joined the Hoops on a free transfer in October, but he feels he has already seen enough to believe that the pair are set to hit it off in the near future.
"I do believe we could get a good partnership going. But his goals this season have been unbelievable. He is so sharp – even in training."
While Cole has scored just once in his first five games for the club - during the Scottish Cup victory over Stranraer - Griffiths has been sensational this season.
The 25-year-old has played 19 times in the Scottish Premiership this term, but has found the back of the net 20 times. And with Ronny Deila's men boasting a six point lead at the top of the table, it is fair to say that it is Griffiths' form that has been a large factor behind their excellent league campaign.
And if he continues to remind his new strike partner of Jermain Defoe and Craig Bellamy, then it seems likely that the Hoops will storm to another league crown.
