Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the reported interest in Nemanja Vidic.
According to The Sun, Villa are interested in signing the former Manchester United defender in the January transfer window.
Vidic is a free agent at the moment, having recently ended his time at Italian giants Inter Milan.
The former Serbia international central defender joined Inter in the summer of 2014 on a free transfer after leaving United.
The 34-year-old struggled to make a major impact at the Nerazzurri and has recently left the Milan-based outfit.
In 23 Serie A appearances last season, Vidic scored one goal and created four chances. The Serbian had a pass accuracy of 88% and a shot accuracy of 31%, and won 67 headers, four dribbles and 32 tackles.
The former Spartak Moscow star, who won the Premier League five times and the Champions League once during his time at Old Trafford, could not make a single appearance in Serie A this season.

#AVFC I've always admired Vidic and we could do a lot worse than to acquire him provided his 34 year old legs still have some life in them.— brucemac (@thegolfvillan) January 21, 2016
Would personally drive Vidic to villa park. Think he could form a good partnership with okore #avfc— ROAR (@avfc124) January 21, 2016
#avfc Glad Vidic isn't coming. We'd just be buying a name and an old name at that. He's barely played all Season.— Gary Allan (@pole2pole74) January 21, 2016
i think part of the problem we have in defence is Richards, Lescottt & Clark all want to organise the defence, & now Vidic is coming?! #AVFC— James Pardoe (@PlainPard) January 21, 2016
